Almost 7 weeks old...

Well, I thought I'd update since we've been at this parenting thing for almost 7 weeks now. Things are starting to really fall into a routine finally. We end up getting up about twice a night. It's not as bad as it could be, but I'm ready for him to sleep a little longer! He's growing so fast and weighs over 10 lbs already. I just can't believe how big he's getting and how fast he's growing! He's so handsome! Looks so much like his daddy! I thought I'd share some of the pictures from the last few weeks. We are starting to get out more and we have actually gone to church twice now. Once in Lawton and once in Marlow. So life is strting to get back to a somewhat normal pace.

Ahh...my life has changed so much!

I've been trying to keep this updated for the family that I have that lives too far away to be able to cuddle this sweet little baby. I took him in this last week and they weighed him & measured him. He is now 10lbs 9.5 oz and 21 3/4 inches long. He's growing SO fast! This last Thursday we had another photography session with a girl I graduated with.....Keelie Lipscomb Photography....she takes amazing pictures and I thought I would share one of the sneak peek photos she put up of Talent. I won't have the rest for a few weeks but this one is going to be one of my favorites I'm sure!

I think he could be the perfect baby model, but, I'm his Mom, so of course I think he's absolutely perfect! If you get a chance to check out Keelie's page, you should. My Sweet Family!

So last week we had newborn/family pictures taken. They were done by a friend of mine who is just absolutely amazing! I thought I'd post a couple of my very favorites from this photo shoot. Now if you know my husband, you know I have maybe 4 or 5 pictures of him where he's smiling in them. He hates taking pictures.....so to get a few with him smiling really made my heart happy. He has the greatest smile and it's one of my favorite things about him. So here's a few of our sweet family pictures!

ER visits begin...

Well, last night we had a tiny scare. Talent screamed for most of the day and was pretty much inconsolable. I finally decided that we needed to take him in to see if something was wrong. He wasn't running fever but as a new mom it really made me a wreck that he was screaming and I couldn't do anything to help him and make the screaming stop. They told us that he was fine, that he has colic and that he was just having a horrible time with it yesterday. They did x rays and everything checked out just fine. We got home sometime after midnight and he's been sleeping pretty soundly today so I'm hoping that yesterday was just a bad day. We will be going to the doctor tomorrow to see about changing his formula. I'm hoping and praying that after the visit with the doctor tomorrow, we will be able to make a change that helps his little belly. We both cried all day yesterday so I'm hoping that we are able to find something that works for him and he feels better soon.

So I that's the latest and I will keep everyone updated. Just say prayers that he feels better soon.

Almost a month!

I can not believe it's already been almost a month since we brought this little guy into our world. We took him back for his 2 week check up last week and he weighed 8 lbs 9 oz & had grown to 20 3/4 inches long! He is growing so fast! We are kinda getting into a rhythm finally! Having a newborn is hard work! I wouldn't trade it though. I thought I'd post a picture or two of him from his newborn session with Ashley!
