3+ Months!

So it's been a little while since I last posted an update. The reason for that is we've had visitors and so much else going on here! Talent is now 3 months and about 2 weeks old. He's rotten and so cute! We went to the doctor last week for an allergic reaction he had to something and when they weighed him he weighed 14 lbs 8 oz! Oh my goodness, he's getting SO big so fast! He's holding his head up pretty much on his own now and he's trying to roll over. For now his main mode of transportation is scooting on his back! He can get pretty much anywhere that way! He is still sleeping in the cradle that his Poppy (my Daddy) built for him in our room but he's almost too big for it. So he'll be moving to his crib soon. I think it will be good for him to move to his own room. I think without Redick & Riley flapping their ears he will sleep better! They wake him up doing that a LOT! So soon, he'll be in there full time! For now he's taking naps in there and he's not so sure about it. He likes it sometimes and other times, not so much.

Talent has discovered his hands just here recently. He loves to chew on them. He's starting to teethe so that's been a blast to deal with. He has been drooling and chewing on his fingers like they are chicken bones! I hope that this teething thing isn't as bad as I'm anticipating....if it is, please pray for my sanity!

We had company over the 4th of July holiday. Talent got to meet my Aunt Leaoma, Uncle Peaches, Aunt Johnnye, my Mini's, and my Uncle Donnie & Aunt Linda. He definitely got a big dose of the Thompson clan! Anyone that knows the Thompson side of my family knows that my child slept so soundly that week! He got more lovin' than he knew what to do with! Anyway, here are some pictures from the month of July! Enjoy!

12 weeks old.....

So this week, Talent is 12 weeks old. I can't believe he's already 12 weeks old. The time is flying by so fast! He's holding his head up and able to sit in his bumbo chair for short periods of time. He can keep himself entertained long enough for me to take a shower and get around in the mornings. I am so thankful for that.

I think he's starting to teethe and I'm not looking forward to that. It's the only explanation I can come up with for his sudden fussiness and his sudden need to gnaw on everything he can get in his mouth. He's also trying to learn how to suck on his thumb and I'm desperately trying to keep him from that. I don't want to get him started on that habit!!
