37 weeks....

So this week I'm 37 weeks. I went to the doctor this week and was told that I am dilated to a 1.....great! Just 9 more cm's to go and we'll have a baby! I've been walking and trying to do anything and everything I can to get this baby to head south. I'm ready for his arrival. Well, at least as ready as I'll ever be. My body is ready. Everything feels swollen & huge. There are pains in places I didn't know could have pains. So if you are a prayer....pray for a quick 9! I want to have this baby....like yesterday. I can't wait to see his face and hold him.

Amazingly I'm really not all that nervous about delivery. I figured by this point I would be kinda freaked out about that. I'm not though and that is kinda shocking to me. I'm a big chicken and have a fear of the unknown. I don't know why, I've always been that way though. Honestly I'm probably more terrified about stupid things like my water breaking than anything else. Actually giving birth doesn't seem that scary at this point. I'm telling you, I am amazed that I'm able to not freak out about things.

So I just thought I'd update since it has been a while. That's where I'm at today....I'm sure tomorrow will be different.

Oh and I'm going to be an Aunt....twice. My brother & his wife told us a few weeks ago that they are expecting a little one sometime later this year. I'm excited and happy for them.

And then this week, my best friend, Shawna, told me that she's expecting a little one sometime maybe in December. I couldn't be more thrilled! Since Shawna already has 2 little boys, we are painting our toes PINK.....hoping for a girl! It worked for me...hope it works for her!

Babies, babies, babies! This is going to be a very adventurous year....but a great one!
